Letter from our Locum Minister

March 10, 2012

Dear friends in Maxwelltown West,

If I may quote from the sermon I preached on the first of January 2012,”New Year is a strange time; it’s a kind of limbo as we fluctuate between the past and the future.  The past as ever is remembered for its traumas and tragedies and happily also its share of highs as well as lows.

A letter from our Minister

December 4, 2011

Dear Friends

When I last wrote for ‘Contact’ I did not envisage being off work again so soon.  Things were looking up and I was getting more involved in weekly worship.  However, I have had to resume chemotherapy treatment as of 21st October, and while I am disappointed about this, I know that in Liz Mack you have a very capable worship leader who will keep things going … please give her your support!

Never underestimate the power of prayer.  Mairi and I and the boys will greatly value your prayers during my course of treatment.

With best wishes to you all

Gordon M.A. Savage
