Maxwelltown West Church Sunday Service – 2 August

The first Sunday in August marks the twentieth Virtual Service that’s been made under lockdown. We’re all looking forward to the time when it will be possible to come together once again at MaxWest, and our team is working hard to ensure that all the arrangements for a safe reopening under the current Guidelines for Places of Worship will be in place. There’s quite a lot to do, and a special thank you to everyone who’s replied to our Questionnaire – yours views on reopening have been very helpful indeed.
In this service, our Locum David Matheson reaches another milestone on our journey with St. Paul and his letter to the Romans – where, very aware of the suffering of Christians in Rome, we find him pointing towards Christian Hope.
Today’s Hymn is from CH4: 192 – All My Hope on God is Founded.

Welcome to Maxwelltown West Church, Dumfries, Scotland. For our ninth Virtual Sunday Service we celebrate our links with Mathia Church in Kenya.
