“Max. West Movies” returns on Friday October 29th at 7:00p.m. in the
Centenary Hall, when we will be screening “Edie”, the story of an 83
year-old woman who believes that “it is never too late”.
Packing an old camping bag from her youth, she leaves her life behind and embarks on an
adventure she never experienced in her younger days, an ascent of the
imposing Suilven in the north-west Highlands.
The doughty actor Sheila Hancock, who is of a similar age to the character she portrays, actually
climbed the mountain during the making of this beautifully filmed drama,
which shows the north-west Highlands in all its challenging glory.
“We will be observing all current safety protocols for the screening in
the Centenary Hall, and there is a warm welcome to everyone as we
restart another popular church social activity”.
NB No advance booking is necessary.
