Autumn is now here with Christmas following very soon, so we have lots of events to look forward to next session.
The new strategy “Let us Build a House” is in place for the next 3 years.  This allows our Guild to consider the first theme “Sure Foundations”, remembering our faith and the men and women who have shaped us.  Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith, showing us how to live and maintain our connection with God and each other.  This makes the Church of Scotland Guild different from other clubs and other organisations.
Our leadership team have an interesting programme planned for next session.  Everyone is invited to join us on Tuesday 3rd December at 2pm, when Mike Marshall will be showing a film that he made of his journey
entitled “From Solway to Shetland”.
In January we will find out more from “Shax”, a charity based in Dumfries that helps people to settle into a new home with necessary items and support.
A “Beetle Drive” will take place on Friday 14th March to raise funds for this year’s project in Egypt.  We hope for a family evening of fun.
Other Guild events are on our Syllabus and can be found on the Church Notice Board and, as always, will be announced in Church on two Sundays prior to the meetings.
Please don’t be shy, as you will be made most welcome when you come along to any of our meetings.
