After Eights Initiative:  Toiletries for HMP Dumfries ( younger male inmates ) may be left in the box in the Simmons Hall.

Flower Ministry:  The flower rota has vacancies. Contact A. Dunbar to help or donate flowers. Decoration of the church and flower distribution is a big part of our outreach, e.g.- bringing contact and a bouquet to the unwell or housebound.

Food Boxes: We collect/donate foodstuffs etc. to a local food bank. Boxes in the  Simmons Hall will be forwarded regularly. The Trussel Trust  Friar’s Vennel Food Bank have passed on their thanks for our recent donation of 2 large boxes of foodstuff etc. The urgently required items are noted on the boxes.

Converted Sweety Jars: labelled jars are placed in the church entrance vestibule and Simmons hall inviting donations of small change for support of local needy causes and charities.

Badminton Club: Meets on Tuesdays at 7.45pm in the Main Hall, also on Thursdays at 7.30pm in the Main Hall. New members will be made welcome.

Bible Study Group: commences on Thursday, 19th September at 7.00pm. All are welcome to join in.

Christian Aid Coffee Morning:  from 10.00am – 12.00 noon on Saturday, 21st September at The Usual Place, Academy Street, Dumfries. Crafts, cake, china, books, plants and Traidcraft stall. Donations and helpers are welcome. Tickets are £3.50 from H Johnson ( tel:- 261627 ) or pay at the door.

Harvest Thanksgiving Gift Distribution: 29th Sept. 2.00pm, drivers needed to distribute harvest gifts. Please add your name to the list in the Simmons Hall or speak to J. Marchbank.

Lochend and New Abbey Flower Festival: 5th and 6th October from 10am to 4pm on 5th and from 11am to 4pm on 6th.  Full details on notice board in the Main Hall.
