Food Boxes:  We aim to donate foodstuffs etc. to a local food bank. Boxes in the  Simmons Hall will be forwarded regularly.

Converted Sweety Jars: labelled jars are placed in the halls inviting donations of small change for  support of needy charities.

Bible Study Group: The Lent course continues on 18th March, 2019 at 7.00pm in the committee room. All are welcome.

Easter Brunch: This year will be after the service on Sunday, 21st April. This is open to all family, friends and neighbours. Share a fellowship meal as an extension of the worship on this most important event of the Christian year.

Christian Aid Lent lunches: Every Friday from 8th March – 12th April; at St. John’s Church Halls, Lover’s Walk; from 12 noon to 1.30pm. Home made soup; cheese or plain rolls; tea and coffee. £3.50. Organised by Dumfries and District Churches. Max. West Church are to provide the catering on 22nd March. Donations of soup ( vegetarian only please) and cheese required; also helpers to serve on that date. See notice board or contact H. Johnson (261627).

Messy Church: Next meeting 30th March.

Church Family Day Out: It has been proposed that a coach could be run to Edinburgh on Sunday 19th May to attend the “Heart and Soul” event in Princes Street Gardens, where Dumfries and Kirkcudbright Presbytery will have a marquee. Contact David Johnson who has more details of this proposal.
